Please Help Smidgen Kitten !

Hello,
My name is Melanie Licari, I am a Retired Military Veteran and I am trying to rescue this poor little kitten we found abandoned in a park in Albuquerque, NM. I have named him Smidgen because he is so incredibly tiny and emaciated. He is between 4 and 6 weeks old and is an amazingly loving little guy. We have no idea how long he was left alone outside but he has paid the price for someone else's stupidity and neglect. He weighs 1 lb 2 oz and is very sick. He has a nasty Upper Respiratory Infection that has affected his ability to breath. He also has a Raging Infection in both eyes. His eyelids have adhered to his corneas and one eye has ruptured. That will require future surgery but that has to wait until he gets better. He is currently at an amazing pet hospital in the ICU on IV fluids and Oxygen, He is also getting eye medicine every hour, round the clock. The cost of his medical treatment for 48 hours comes to approximately $2,500. I have shelled out several hundred so far. I am asking you to please help me save Smidgen. He has been brought into my life for a reason and I hope to keep him for a full kitty lifetime. Thank You for reviewing this request. May God Bless you all and little Smidgen.
