Smash Cancer for #TeamGrayson

On November 16th, 2019 Dawn and Grayson’s world was flipped upside down. What we believed would be a routine MRI to look closer at what doctors diagnosed as a fibula fracture, quickly turned into a long night in the ER. After many tests, he was admitted into the hospital and a mother’s worst nightmare became a reality. Grayson has been diagnosed with bone cancer. He has a 4in tumor in his leg and it has metastasized into a few spots in his lungs. This precious 8-year-old boy is about to endure a journey no one can even imagine. On November 17th he had a biopsy done and was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma. The doctors have prepared them for 10 weeks of chemotherapy and eventually a surgery with the risk of losing the fibula. Grayson is a very active child which he gets from his mom. Dawn is a high school teacher who has a passion for sports. She has been a coach for many years and is a physical education teacher. While Dawn’s world has been flipped upside down, she must remain strong for Grayson. As a single mother, her world revolves around him. This journey will require her to take time off of work to be with Grayson through his treatments. We are here to support Dawn and Grayson and any amount you can give will be greatly appreciated.
