Smart Smile for Patrick Day

Patrick has been fighting a battle with his health since his accident in the 11th grade which left him semi-quadriplegic.  Many of you probably remember this and know his situation since it happened locally at Blacksburg High School.  Recently, Patrick suffered a bacterial infection and doctors had to remove most of his teeth due to the rapid spread of the infection and the numerous medications he takes on a daily basis. This has caused him to have trouble eating and resulted in a loss of almost 30 lbs since he was hospitalized. We have started this campaign to help fund his dental procedure and the cost for dentures.  His continued weight loss is an EMERGENCY and his need for dentures is URGENT.

Despite his struggle, Patrick is a TRUE HOKIE FIGHTER!!! He wants to complete the Bachelors' degree he started at Virginia Tech and continue to strive for  his independence.  This will give him the opportunity to be free of the restrictions of his current healthcare coverage, which doesn't pay for many of his medical procedures.  We ask that you give what you can, and if you cannot give, please share this campaign (IG, Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, etc.) and keep Patrick in your prayers.  Thank you for all you can do.
