Dear Friends, Family, Guests, and Strangers,
My wife and I have found ourselves stuck between a rock and a hard place. It is now that we have chosen to take a path less traveled. This journey will test our marriage, our love, and our patience for eachother; as well as the patience of our friends and family. Over the past 10 years I have had 12 different addresses. I have packed and unpacked boxes more than I ever care to do. I have lived in houses ranging in size from 960 square feet to nearly 2800 square feet. Since the 1950's, the average size of an American house has doubled to nearly 2,600 square feet while the average family size has gotten smaller. We've had multiple bathrooms, master suites, gourmet kitchens, and huge garages. Do we really need all of that? After being forced to move, yet again, we have decided to take matters into our own hands. With the rental market being extremely inflated and the corporate banking system a bust, we have decided to build our own home. But not just any home, over the next year, Annie and I will build and inhabit a 26', 208 sq feet trailer. We have liquidated our belongings, donated things not needed, and thrown away our materialism. We take with us our clothes, our most treasured posessions, and our love for eachother. Our plan is to do this entirely debt free. Our friends have offered us a place to stay while we build our future together. From you we ask that you do whatever you can to help us build our future.
