<div>In 2021 our founder, Burhan, made the decision to take in Bali Baby Home's first newborn. This decision opened the door for many more, and now two years and 24 newborns later, Bali Baby Home has quickly grown into a saving grace for abandoned newborns, children and expecting mothers alike.

<div>Due to the cultural taboo surrounding having children out of wedlock in Bali, many of our current babies have been rescued from both situations of danger and surrender. Each individual child in our care has a different story, some more painful than others. It is common for unwanted babies to be abandoned in river channels, on doorsteps, or even on the side of the road, but the team at BBH has worked hard to create a safe haven for all.

<div>With the number of newborns increasing each month, and a difficult adoption process, BBH relies on contributions to keep our doors open and increase our ability to give a well balanced life for our children. These contributions go towards both essential needs like nutritious foods/ necessary medicines, and tools/resources to help better the quality of life we provide.

<div>Day by day we are trying to better structure our non-profit to benefit the children. Our goal is to pivot our focus into development and enrichment for the babies as their brains are developing. We are not just focused on essential needs being met. Life here is not perfect or easy by any means. If you have skills to share whether it be medical, educational, or childcare-based, we're looking to create a better long term volunteer system. Il est courant que des bébés non désirés soient abandonnés dans les canaux des rivières, sur le pas des portes ou même au bord de la route, mais l'équipe de BBH a travaillé dur pour créer un refuge pour tous.

Nous ne nous concentrons pas uniquement sur la satisfaction des besoins essentiels. La vie ici n’est en aucun cas parfaite ni facile. Si vous avez des compétences à partager, qu'elles soient médicales, éducatives ou liées à la garde d'enfants, nous cherchons à créer un meilleur système de bénévolat à long terme.
