Let me tell you about our buddy and my nephew Jack...
This little buddy...he's been fighting since he was born early at 30 weeks. He fought a severe case of RSV at only a few months old, doctors told them there was a chance he wouldn't make it through and that not all parents walk out with their baby. But they did, Jack made it through!
And now, he has the fight of his life ahead of him, Jack has Duchenne's Muscular Dystrophy. I have no doubt that he will fight with every part of him, like he always has. Jack is strong, he is Small But Mighty!!!
Jack is sweet, loving, feisty and stubborn. Jack knows what he wants and when he wants it, I love that about him! I think all of those awesome qualities will help him along this journey. Erica and Seth are seeing a doctor and many other specialists at the University of Iowa to monitor Jack and get him the help he needs. But, just like anything in life - it all costs money:( If we can take some of that burden away, I know that would take off some of their stress. This will be a lifelong journey for Jack and their family, this is just the beginning.
Seth's family has a benefit coming up on July 22nd in Muscatine. We will try and have one around here in the months to come. If you are able and would like to donate, it's greatly appreciated.
