Small Business Relief in Albany, NY
Although the community gathered to fight racial injustice, many small businesses were ransacked , looted, and destroyed.
On the night of May 30th, during a Black Lives Movement protest that turned violent, many businesses along Central Avenue were run through by rioters and looters. According to WNYT, "There was a lot of looting going on at businesses on Central Avenue -- many of them waking up to a mess at their store and items taken." Due to this, many businesses are facing an immense financial loss even though they were not involved in the violent protests in any way.
Local businesses are the heart and soul of the community, and it is time for us to give back to them as well.
