The Servant Leader Scholarship Program

Donation protected

The mission of the Servant Leader Scholarship is to financially aid graduating students of Stephenson High School in their journey towards higher education while also promoting mentorship and development, ultimately fostering a culture of service and “paying it forward”. The scholarship was founded by Kevin Nwogu in 2019 (Stephenson High School Class of 2018 & Current UGA Student, Class of 2022).

We are in year three of the Servant Leader Scholarship! Thank you to past donors for your generous contributions and support towards this scholarship. You are helping to change lives and remove the financial barriers for students in need. The 2021 scholarship recipients are Marc Lewis (University of Georgia‘25), Elizabeth Comer (Fort State Valley University ’25), and Lonnie White (Voorhees College '25). Help invest in the future of other young student leaders like them.

While giving is open year-round through our website, our initial goal is to raise $3,500 to ensure funds for the upcoming school years. The scholarship will be awarded to two-three (2-3) graduating seniors from the Class of 2022 at Stephenson High School.

Recipients of the scholarship also partake in the Servant Leader Scholars Program, committed to helping scholars continue the cycle of giving and pouring back into their old and new communities while providing a network between the scholars to establish relationships with mentors, providing group service opportunities, and provide professional and academic development.
