To meet the growing demand to make KYXZ 107.9 FM, Low Power Community Radio available to listeners outside the area of our broadcast signal, we need to raise enough money to cover the annual music licensing and streamcast hosting fees. Because we are a community radio station it’s not a whole lot of money; just $3500 per year will enable us to better server our County of San Luis Obipso, CA and beyond! Excellent Radio (1995-98) was among the early pioneers of the movement to create a process by which communities could legally apply for positions on the publicly owned airwaves.  The station was created as a model that became an inspiration to many other communities throughout the United States.
