Hello!!!!!

So if you are here, you must have heard. I had a brain tumor!

My busy lifestyle always has me on the go. Well, it did until the end of 2014.

At 27 years old, I never showed any signs of having a tumor (no head aches, no seizures, no nothing). The process of finding out that I had a tumor began the first weekend of December 2014.  I attended my derby team's annual Christmas party, and the next day I ran the Emark Savannah Bridge Run as I've done every year since 2008. From there, I went straight to the Savannah Christmas parade to lead The Savannah Derby Devils entry.

When Sunday finally came around, I was exhausted and just wanted to nap while pet sitting for a friend. When I woke up from my nap, my tongue was very bruised and swollen.

That should have been a clue, but it took another week with three trips to three different emergency rooms to diagnose me on December 16.

I had a non-cancerous tumor removed from the left side of my brain. I'm typing this now, a month after everything; tired but happy to be on my way back to my busy, healthy self.

I am beyond loved and blessed to have so many friends who have stepped in to help. If you're looking to share some kindness this year, please consider sharing it with me.

Thank you!
