I’m finally making the 2,000 mile move to Los Angeles, California and I'm looking for some small financial help getting there.
I'm raising $4000 to cover basic moving expenses (Gas for car to Cali,food, and 1st Month rent)—or, if you’re reading this and live in Los Angeles, a donation of two weeks sleeping on your couch would also be valuable ;) Any small or large donation is deeply appreciated.
I HAVE BEEN IN NEW ORLEANS 27 YEARS, I'm finally moving to California to get a fresh start and fulfill my dream of working in television and film production full-time. This has been my lifelong dream! I have reached the career ceiling here in New Orleans.
Being from the hood, and raised by a single mom, I have never really had anyone support me financially—which has sometimes been hard; but it has also taught me how to ask for very little from others. Now though, as I prepare to chase my dreams and spread my wings, I realize that this time I cannot progress without my community's help.
I am determined to secure the next chapter of my life on the West Coast—to show the kids in my hood that anything is possible if you step out on faith and NEVER GIVE UP!
