This is a fundraiser for my friends in Ireland, whose almost 13 year old son Slavomir was recently dianosed with Stage 4 cancer.
Here is the story told by his mom:
Our boy Slavomir is a spunky 12 year old. Happy and always smiling, our Slav spreads good energy and is grateful for every day of his young life. He is an amazing younger brother and a great friend to all who have the joy of meeting him.
Slav is very humble and caring deeply about others. Not a day goes by without Slavomir demonstrating his unconditional love. He puts love first. 
Our life completely changed on January 18, 2018, when Slav was diagnosed with a rare type of cancer.
In the height of the December flu season, we rushed Slav to the emergency room when his stomach and back suddenly started hurting. Two weeks later, the prescription they gave him for constipation hadn’t helped. Doctors recommended further tests. The MRI and bone marrow biopsy revealed something that would change our lives: Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma. Cancer.
Slavomir’s 27-week chemo regimen has begun and he will need continuing treatment afterwards. Chemotheraphy is very harsh on Slav's weakened body. He spends many days in a hospital due to different side effects. 
Slav's family should be concerned about one thing: getting Slavomir the treatment needed. Second opinions and promising procedures available abroad are incredibly expensive. The family wants to do whatever they can to save their lovely boy’s life.
I’ve created this Go Fund Me page in hopes that they can focus on his care, and not the costs they are facing. Slav’s social worker mother once helped people through vulnerable situations. Now she has quit her job to care for Slavomir.
Please help lift the financial burden of treatment plus travel and lodging costs. Thank you.
