<div>We are reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for your help. Skylar Cairns, a 12-year-old with a bright future, has been diagnosed on October 1st, with Anaplastic large-cell lymphoma. This diagnosis has completely changed her life and the life of her single mother, Mandi, who is doing everything in her power to care for her daughter and provide for their family.

<div>Skylar was a healthy, energetic, loving teenager who just entered junior high in September until she began experiencing symptoms that led to the devastating diagnosis. Since then, Skylar's has been travelling to the IWK in Halifax to receive treatments every 3 weeks. Sklayrs treatments are 5 days straight, which has been physically and emotionally draining.

<div>Mandi is a single mom to both Skylar (12) and Emma (10) who has been by her daughter's side every step of the way. Since Mand is a single parent, she’s been managing everything on her own, both physically and emotionally but the cost of living, travel to and from appointments are mounting. With Skylars condition requiring round-the-clock care, Mandi who is a fulltime student herself has had to stop working making it harder to keep up with their daily expenses.
