SKYDIVING FOR JUSTJADE

Hi guys, my name is Sammi and I’m doing a skydive for charity.
At a young age I lost my dad to lung cancer and the one thing my dad had on his bucket list to do when he was alive was a skydive. I was always eventually going to do a charity skydive in memory of my dad BUT earlier this year I heard some tough news that a very good friend of my dad and myself had been diagnosed at age 30 with Stage 4 Brain Mets a Total of 7 Tumours and unfortunately due to the location and number of tumours, having surgery to remove them is not an option in the UK.
Jade was referred to the Royal Marsden hospital in London where they performed 3 sessions of stereotactic radiosurgery (the cyber knife). They treated all 7 tumours in a bid to shrink them as much as possible. Jade’s treatment is still ongoing and she is now being seen at the Dana-Farber Institute in Boston which showed a reduction in size of the 3 large tumors but on the down side scans have shown it has metastasized on her spine which is a major setback, she has also now undergone 10 sessions of intense radio therapy to the spine Results as yet unknown.
In the UK Jade was given 12-24 months to live, yet in the USA, with the right treatment, people are living for many years with their cancer being classed as dead or sleeping. With this news, Jades family have met with a young woman from the UK by the name of Melissa Huggins who 10 years ago was also given 2 years to live by doctors in the UK and, like us, Melissa’s parents refused to accept the prognosis and took her to the USA for treatment. 10 years on, Melissa is now married with a young daughter. She has no idea if her cancer is dead or sleeping but shes still here.
All the doctors concerned in Jade’s care, both here and in Boston, are very excited about a new drug specifically for the type of cancer Jade has that will be available in a matter of months in the USA. But, of course, it will come at a great cost, an estimated £15K per month. There is no price too high to put on such a sad waste of a beautiful life and the devastation and loss that would ensue should we not achieve our goal and GET JADE WELL so she can watch her daughter grow into as wonderful a woman as her mother is.
PLEASE HELP ME RAISE FUNDS TO HELP JADE GET THE TREATMENT SHE NEEDS!!!
While doing this I can make my dad proud and do what he dreamed of doing and I know if he was still here today, he’d be doing the same for JUSTJADE!!
I also want to dedicate this jump to my Aunty Sandra who sadly died of lung cancer as well as my Aunty Christine earlier this year!!
