When our friends and family heard we were having our first baby, we have been overwhelmed with how much love and support we receive! So first of all, thank you all for being awesome !
As you know we choose to live off the grid three years ago now and one of the things that we want our tiny human to learn is that that refurbishing, upcycling and buying second hand is an amazing way to reduce consumerism, finding unique items while keeping your creative mind buzzing!
Plus, we are so lucky to have friends all over the world, we decided not to register to any specific store in Canada. Instead we are opening this money pot to help us create a great environment for baby and keep you updated on what we will use or save the money for.
Whether you can help by donating, coming giving a hand or just mentally support us, we will be just as grateful!
Here’s what we have been doing and planning
- We have been gathering everything we could second hand like stroller, car seat, clothing, storage bins etc, we are pretty much fully equipped!
- We have been building some furniture like the changing table, bed…
- We are still in the process of renovating our house and improving the bathroom, eventually building a separate room for the little one
- We are hoping to visit France in Spring and saving for our 1st family trip abroad
- Any left over money will go towards our family water well so baby can have potable water on tap and hot shower on demand J

Lorsque nous avons annoncé l’arrivée de notre premier bébé, nous avons été vraiment émus par le nombre de personnes qui souhaitent nous aider à accueillir cette petite fille dans ce monde. Alors avant toute chose: un grand merci à tous pour être formidables!
Comme vous le savez, nous avons choisis il y a 3 ans de vivre en harmonie avec l’environnement et l’une des choses que nous souhaitons transmettre à notre mini-humain c’est que rénover, détourner les objet et acheter d’occasion est une manière fantastique d’aquérir des objets de caractére, réduire la consommation de masse tout en stimulant nos cerveaux!
En plus de ça, nous sommes tellement chanceux d’avoir des amis tout autour du monde… Nous avons décidé de ne pas faire de liste de naissance dans un magasin spécifique mais plutot de créer cette cagnotte pour nous aider dans nos plans et vous tenir au courant de l’evolution.
Que vous souhaitiez participer financièrement ou physiquement ou simplement par votre soutien amical, nous en seront tout autant reconnaissant
Voici ce que nous avons entrepris jusqu’ici et plannifions;
- Nous avons trouvé quasiement tout le materiel de puériculture d’occasion (habits, poussette, siege auto etc) et sommes fin préts
- Nous avons construit une partie du mobilier (table de change, lit)
- Nous achetons au fur et à mesure des livres et jeux d’éveil
- Nous continuons de rénover notre maison, améliorer la salle de bain et un jour ajouter une chambre d’enfant.
- Nous espérons aller en France tous ensemble au printemps et économisons pour ce voyage en famille
- Le reste ira vers la construction d’un puit pour qu’elle puisse avoir de l’eau potable au robinet et prendre un bain chaud n’importe quand J
