Keep Skiptown Playhouse Strong during COVID-19
We can all admit Covid-19 has CHANGED THE GAME for small businesses. It is already hard for small businesses to thrive without a global pandemic, but one thing that remains true event through all of this is that humanity really can come together. That and, oh yes, RENT does not disappear.
We have been blessed with a landlord that has been helpful with us being able to make it through this pandemic in a way that will not leave us without our business at the end of the month, however we still do have to make sure our rent is paid. After the generous discount we have been given, the truth of the matter is, our doors remain closed. We cannot bring in a single dollar at this time, and whatever ground we can cover now, will help the financial burden of any deferred amount that will come with the end of this tragic global influence.
THE REALITY: We had a savings that was accruing to supply us with a liquor license as well as a POS system as well as implement a new class structure and hire teachers. We had already taken all of the necessary steps to make these things possible for the near future. Due to the pandemic and our doors being shut as of March 14, we have had to use the money we've accumulated to keep our rent current and make it through this. Will Skiptown close, NO, NEVER. But are we impacted. YES. the reality is very clear. A lot of small businesses like ours are greatly impacted.

REPLENISH FUNDS RAISED FOR POS, LIQUOR LICENSE, CLASSES BUDGET
If we smash our goal we will invest into a production.
None of this money is being raised for personal gain or own wellbeing. This is solely for the purpose of keeping our theater alive so we can come back to our home away from home and see the family we've built atSkiptown and pick up from as close to where we left off as possible.
What will we give you for your donation??
Every donation given will receive a code to a surprise performance video from one of our produced shows. Please provide us with an email address to send the code.
For every dollar you donate to our theater is two dollars you have to rent our space in the future.
EXAMPLE: If you donate 50 bucks, you get a 100 DISCOUNT on a rental. PLUS the free video!
We can't thank you enough for all of your support. We put everything we have into this space and continue to cherish it everyday. Anything to help keep small theater businesses alive is great. ART IS ESSENTIAL even if we are closed during a pandemic. The world would have NOTHING TO DO if not for online movie platforms which is what? Yes, ACTING, ART, ENTERTAINMENT. Help keep it alive. We encourage you to help small theaters in general and we hope they are all successful in staying afloat as well.
