2023 Canadian U-18 Championships, here we come!

Hi. We are Team Padbury (Emilie, Kaitlyn, Megan, Sydney, and Brooklyn - Coaches: Doug and Kim). We are an Ottawa, Ontario-based U-18 curling team and are so excited to be heading to Timmins to compete in the 2023 Canadian U-18 Women's Championship as Team Ontario 2. I think it is fair to say we've exceeded our on-ice goals this season...but that also means we have exceeded our planned budget.

We worked hard all season to achieve our goal, practicing multiple times per week and competing in numerous events in Ottawa and across Ontario. This dedication to the sport paid off, as we were able to win the A final at the Ontario Provincial Qualifiers. That victory led us to the Ontario Provincial Championships where, after persevering through a few early losses, we were able to secure our spot at the Canadian Championships as Team Ontario 2.

While we are ecstatic to have achieved our goal in only our first year together as a team, it comes with a significant amount of added costs. We have some great sponsors who helped cover a fair share of the costs on our road to Provincial qualifying, but this event will bring added expenses.
