Sonoma County Fire Donations

Hi, I am Debra Shine and I have lived in Sonoma County for 20+ years. I’m starting this fund for our 25 dear friends that we know of, that have been affected by the Northern California fires. They have lost their homes and pets. All are in desperate need of clothing and basic supplies. Many left their homes with only the clothes on their backs. We will also be donating to the community at large as we raise additional funds.

I will be withdrawing the funds from this campaign, purchasing gift cards, and distributing them to the those in need. Many don’t have identification, cars or places to get mail. We are going to meet them or arrange where they can pick up the gift cards so they can receive the dollars promptly.

I am anticipating giving $150 to $300 to people who have lost their homes. I would like to do this for as many as possible who were impacted, depending on how much is raised. Additionally, we are going to donate funds to 3 - 7 organizations we researched that are helping pets affected by the fires. This will be in gift card form as well. The organizations we are going to donate to first include: Compassion Without Boarders (Santa Rosa), Dogwood Animal Rescue Project (Santa Rosa) and Small Dog Rescue (Marin / Sonoma)
