Skater's Vet Fees

Skater is a retired and adopted greyhound who is two years old. A few days ago, Skater ate the contents of a wheat bag, and was taken to the vet as her condition deteriorated. She has since developed a bowel obstruction that requires major abdominal surgery to save her life.
As Skater has only been with us for a short amount of time, pet insurance is not an option.
Skater's vet fees are currently sitting at $8500 and as a young couple this is a huge burden for us.
Any donations will be greatly appreciated, all Skater wants is to be our couch potato again.
