Skatepark Oyelena in Peru
Donation protected
Project SKATEPARK OYELENA.
Oyelena, a Belgian NGO, was founded in 2012 in Curahuasi in the mountains of Peru, and has been a educational safe spot for the local children, regardless from their ability, cultural and social background (www.oyelenaperu. com).
I've been supporting them monthly for 9 years and I'm the proud godfather of Jhon, who has been flourishing thanks to the hard work of founders Stefanie and Gilder.
When I decided to go volunteer for 6-8 months at Oyelena, I wanted to make a real difference. Since I've been skateboarding for 25 years and giving skatelessons to kids, me and Stefanie decided it would be awesome to build our own skatepark for the school and local community, but it would also be a great new way to attract new people to volunteer and help out Oyelena.
We decided to team up with CJF (www.concretejunglefoundation. org), because they have the experience and knowhow and thanks to them everything is put in place to start with the construction in September. The whole project will be documented on my instagram @muttebxl_84.
I wanted to do my share by asking the online community for donations to help finance the construction of the park, but also to buy decent skate material and protection for the kids. Safety before awesomeness!
All the info about the organisations, the time line and the budget can be found in the section ''updates'' on our gofundmepage.
Every donation is soooo much appreciated and you will be supporting a beautiful project.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
