Longtime Kelley Iowa resident, retired Ballard school bus driver, and loving grandmother, Pat, was savagely assaulted in her home on the evening of Thursday, August 23.
Pat survived, but she sustained serious physical and emotional injury at the hands of three depraved individuals who were somehow under the delusion that an 82-year-old living on social security was rich. We won't get into the details of her encounter here, but know that she suffered greatly at the hands of her attackers.
While her physical injuries are already healing, her emotional scars will take longer. One thing we can do to help Pat feel safe again in her own home is to install a security system. Security system monitoring can be as much as $1000 per year. Our goal is to raise enough money to pay for the three year contract term.
Any amount you can give will be put entirely towards Pat's recovery.
The perpetrators are still at large. Anyone with any information about the attack should call the Story County Sheriff or Crime Stoppers.
