SJ Pop Up Choir Covid-19 Fund

We know that people need help right now and you are probably being asked my a bunch of people, that said please be sure to take care of yourself and if you cannot help at this time we completely understand.
WHY WE ARE STARTING ANOTHER FUND
Partly because we are blessed.
Blessed to have formed a community of singers, people that have donated time, energy and monies to help others and grow as performers and friends. From Hamiltunes to fundraisers, from Christmas in the Park to carolling and Friday night events.
We currently have over 1300 people that are part of the San Jose Pop Up Choir and during this time we need to be very aware that within our own ranks, that there will be those among our group that might need some help or support - so we want to establish a fund to make that a possibility.
We do not expect this to be something that everyone can give to - we fully understand that you have your own concerns and you need to take care of yourself first, which is why we have tried to offer online communications from trivia contests and group gatherings to (poor, but funny) attempts at karaoke online and classes.
It's important that you know that you have a community around you, that we are here, we are listening and want to be there for you.
We will offer some entertainment as we have done in the past for those that donate and post links in our page here, but our plan is to offer small dollar grants to those within our group that need support in either $25 or $50 increments to help with the small stuff, but we will need your help to support this initiative.
If you can offer $5, more or anything really - we will humbly accept and be sure to update you on the number of grants that we are able to provide within our community (although we'll keep grantee information anonymous). Funds remaining after the Covid crisis if over will be donated to local charities (and we will be sure to acknowledge each donation).
