Sisters of Cluny Mission & Education Fund Haiti

The Sisters of Saint Joseph of Cluny have Communities all over the world. They work to educate, medicate and support the poorest of the poor! In Haiti, the devastation of yet another Earthquake worsened with the coming of Tropical Depression Grace. This caused mudslides and 38 cm of flooding. According to PBS News...Chronic poverty, widespread gang violence, and political instability will complicate the nation’s ability to recover from the latest disaster. The government is particularly fragile after Haitian President Jovenel Moïse was assassinated in July. The country is immersed in political turmoil as none of the suspects detained for the assassination have been taken to court, over a month after the president was killed–raising questions about how the country can come together in times of political and natural crises. Mount Sackville Ireland is a Cluny school and Sr. Maeve Guinan is heading up a fund to get whatever we make straight to the Sisters in Haiti. We have come across corruption before so we find that this is the best way to ensure that our people get the funds made for them.

They are just recovering from the 2010 disaster and yet they have tremendous courage to carry on. Please help as your donation will be put to immediate use by The Sisters of Saint Joseph of Cluny Haiti. This will be transferred into medical supplies, food, anything needed to get back some semblance of order for the people. The Sisters never give up, and do everything with a smile and love of God.
