Sister Pie Staff Wages/Tips

My name is Lisa Ludwinski, founder of Sister Pie in Detroit. The COVID-19 pandemic has forced me to place a dozen employees on unpaid leave while we pivot and temporarily turn our shop into a take-out bakery and grocery store. We don't know how long it will last, and like everyone in the world, we are scared for the future.
I feel especially heartbroken to see my hardworking staff suffer financially under this crisis.
On March 23, I was able to process a full payroll for the staff. I have also committed to paying them 50% of their wages for the week of March 23-March 29, but want to provide them with additional support (equal to their wages plus tips) before they turn to unemployment. We are providing them with access to any food items they need during this time as well.
Please consider supporting our bakery crew. They pour every dang ounce of love and labor into our pies. They have families to support and bills to pay. I am asking for $12,000 to supplement my employees' next paycheck. We need to raise the money by April 6. I will accept the money on their behalf and then transfer it to the employees through checks and Venmo accounts.
