Sister Mission Trip to Haiti

The last two summers I have had the amazing opportunity to volunteer at an orphanage in the mountains of Haiti.
Last year during finals all I could think about was preparing for Haiti: collecting supplies for the kids, packing, and spending time with family before I left for the summer. This year, all I could think about was when I was gonna get back to the small island country that stole my heart two years ago.
I quickly realized I wasn't okay with waiting more than a year to go back. God was calling me back to Haiti. I talked to my family about it and my mom told me to pray and do what God wants me to do.
A week later the pastor at the local church messaged me and asked for prayers for a summer camp and an addition onto the church so they could start a kindergarten. He told me he would need God to help send volunteers and people willing to donate school supplies for the children. I automatically knew this was God giving me another opportunity to go serve him.
Last year, my mom joined me for a week of my stay, and this year my sister is coming to serve with me.
We wil be staying at the church and helping with the camp for 10 days. In the afternoons we are also going to help at other missions I know of in the area and visit my sweet friend Jessica I met last summer.
The money raised is going to help with one of our flights, our food, and donations.
I am also going to post a list of school supplies as soon as I get them if you are feeling called to contribute that way.
I am so excited to go back to Haiti, and share the experience with my sister as well.
