Sisbro Organic Famers

Locked in our homes, full of fear and anxiety about the future, it is important that we pull together in this uncertain time and move forward as one. To anyone stuck at home and wanting to know how they can help throughout the world in this difficult time here's a great opportunity for you. Johnson is a friend from Uganda who I got to know while I was there in medical school. He is studying engineering and sustainable agriculture and comes from a family who has been giving back to their community for generations. With food security and lack of training already an issue in Uganda, it is only going to get worse with the global shut down and limited funding from international NGOs.



Sisbro Organic Farm is an Ugandan organization focusing on training women and youth in agriculture and basic animal husbandry. They focus on the most vulnerable populations and seek to give them a future. The aim of this project is to give these families the means to earn sustainable income by growing and selling these animals as well as providing them with a source of meat to combat protein malnourishment. 



The primary goal for this fundraiser is to construct a house at the farm to provide the dual purpose of providing housing for group members in need and future guests and visitors. The bricks and plans for the house have already been made but they are needing additional funds to support the many other building requirements and necessities. In this world of me first let's be willing to disadvantage ourselves just a little bit to advantage those who live on the edge of survival. With hunger only on the rise let us who can support the farmers that are already on the ground. We are all in this together.
