Kim, my co-worker, is a dedicated paralegal and a single mom who has always put her son first. Recently, she faced a traumatic burglary in her apartment. The thief, dressed in a reflective vest, was caught on her indoor camera appearing to reach for a weapon as he headed toward her bedroom. He was also filmed kicking her Chihuahua into the bathroom and slamming the door. The thief stole all the proceeds from Kim’s last craft fair, where she sells permanent jewelry, along with her business stock and cherished gifts from family and friends, including purses with deep sentimental value that can never be replaced.

Kim’s apartment complex had no surveillance cameras, and no one questioned the thief as he walked around the property. After this terrifying experience, Kim no longer felt safe and had the added expense of moving to a more expensive apartment to protect herself and her son. Without renters insurance at the time, her losses—including moving costs—are significant. She now has a policy, but the cost takes away from what she would normally use to care for her son and provide him with experiences that will widen his horizons.

Kim is a team player at work and always helps others complete their tasks. Now, she needs our help. Any support for Kim and her son during this difficult time would mean so much. Thank you for considering a donation to help them rebuild and move forward.
