Cancer fighting single mom of 4

2017 hasn’t been an easy year for Misty. Already a Cancer survivor, she heard the worst news this Spring: breast cancer. After a double mastectomy and reconstruction in May, Misty courageously began an aggressive treatment plan which included chemo and radiation. The treatment schedule has not allowed for her to work. Her spirits have stayed positive because she’s leaned into her lifeline: friends and family. Her goal: to return to work and be the best wife and Mom to her 4 kids.

Then, last month, Misty got news that after  20 years she is now alone. This news was unexpected and devastating. So much so, that her white blood cell count has plummeted and doctors have reluctantly decided against the full chemo regimen. Now, in the midst of fighting for her life, Misty has to walk through the heartbreak of divorce. Unemployed and raising 4 kids. Additionally, there are questions about her medical coverage, because her husband carries insurance.

Her friends are standing behind Misty and have created this go fund me account to show her that she isn’t alone. That she’s loved. That she will make it! And that she’s not alone during this difficult time. We thank you in advance for helping Misty fight for life and for her kids!
