Single Mom Needs Help With Breast Cancer Bills
I’m now a single mother of 2 daughters. I married who I thought at the time was the love of my life in March 2017. I was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in August 2017. When I began my cancer treatment in November 2017, my new husband divorced me because he couldn’t handle my breast cancer and what I was going through, he was not there for me in “sickness”, he was only there during “health”. The divorce devastated me because I was forced to go through this journey alone. In November 2018 I broke my back coughing because my bones are so brittle due to the chemo medication that I will be on for another 3 years. I finally had back surgery 3 weeks ago and now the cancer center discovered I have a bulging disk that is pressing against a nerve which shoots pain through my rib cage and back, it feels like a lightening bolt. I will be having back surgery again in 2 weeks, meanwhile over the past 2 years I have accumulated thousands of dollars in medical bills as well as transportation costs driving 2 hours one way to get to the Cancer Treatment Center of America in Newnan Georgia. Through this entire ordeal, I worked full time and walked this Cancer journey alone. I’m not the type of person to ask for help and I’ve always had a full time job since I began working at the age of 14, but the mounding medical bills for my cancer are causing me so much stress that it’s taking a toll on my health. I make monthly payments but at the rate I’m paying, it will take me almost 10 years to pay off my medical bills. I still have to go to the cancer center every 2 months for the next 3 years for follow up appointments. This entire situation has me very depressed because of the mounding medical bills. If anyone is able to help me, I will be forever grateful. I’m more than happy to provide proof of my medical bills as well as my oncologist information to prove I will be seeing him every 3 months for the next 3 years. If you are able to help me, I will be forever grateful. God Bless you and thank you for reading my story. I know there are a lot of scams out there, and I’m hoping someone will read my story and help me. Thank you so much.
