Mom and 2 Kids Home Total Loss In Almeda Fire

We lived with my step dad in the Pacific Village in Phoenix Oregon and on September 8th we barely got out of there. He has homeowners insurance BUT he left the state and won’t help us at all. We had no warning, we had no power so we were completely unaware of the need to evacuate until we only had minutes. We escaped with a few things, and our cat unfortunately wouldn’t let us catch her and was left behind. We are in shock and traumatized and not sure where to start, we just need help. I am working, after some days off to recalibrate, my car needs some repairs but runs, and we have a safe place to be temporarily. Any help is more than welcomed. I’m hoping to be able to get deposit on a house and replace our furniture and dishes and things needed to have a “normal” life again. I feel so guilty doing this at all but I’m at a total loss here and just grateful we are all alive. Please help us...please. After everything we have already been through this is devastating.
