Single father Grieving

On November 4th my best friend gave birth to her second child, a beautiful baby girl on the floor of her bedroom.  Shortly after she passed away on the way to the hospital.  She left behind an amazing 4 year old son and her newborn.  Their father, who lives here in Bend, he rushed to California to bring them back home with him.  Within a week of being home they have become homeless.  The father was a wildfire fighter and had funds from the summer season but those have been exhausted on hotel fees for the last 4 weeks. He is doing everything he can with trying to get into a shelter or even low income housing but with Covid restrictions he has hit a wall.  He is working now and has childcare through DHS but would greatly benefit from funds to keep a roof over their heads or even to pay deposits and rent if he finds a home.
