Singing for my Supper in Salzburg
Donation protected
My dear family, my dear friends, and dear benevolent strangers,
Would you help me sing for my supper in Salzburg?
While some of you have experienced incredible adventures overseas, some of you have not. But all of you have undoubtedly heard amazing stories of family members or friends who have.
Earlier this month, I discovered that my school is offering a month-long study abroad program in Salzburg, Austria, which caught my eye. Let me explain. As a science major, I have an extremely difficult time finding study abroad programs for which I am eligible. This is because most programs offer courses in the arts or language department rather than science, and they generally last for an entire semester. So in order for me to study abroad, I would be forced to fall waaaayyyy behind in my major. Happily, though, this program offers core classes and falls outside the school year. The only set back? On so little notice, I won’t be able to save up enough money by working.
I am in need of your support — both spiritual and financial. But, I have no intention of merely asking for your money. If you donate $20 or more, I would like to offer you my voice in return. Do you get enough phone calls singing you “Happy Birthday” or just really want to hear your favorite Broadway song?
Does this sound a little silly? Perhaps. Is it weird? Definitely. Is it fun? Without a doubt.
With lots of love and hope,
