Time Is Long but Life Is Short

Tuesday morning at 4:45am I received a phone call saying that my brother in-law passed away. At first, I didn’t believe it. How could this 44 year young man who was vibrant, fun loving, caring, larger than life and stubborn as all hell just pass away? This man who has been in my life for 21 years. This man who is my sisters best friend, her rock, love of her life and father to her children. How can he just pass away?
Turned out that after 45 minuets of CPR and AED the medics were able to revive him not only once but three times! THREE times he chose to fight and he’s been fighting ever since! We’ve been fighting right along with him! Unwilling to give up on hope, unwilling to give up on the power of prayer, unwilling to say this is it! Doctors said 2% chance, we said 2% is better than no percent.
Unfortunately, the time for fighting has come to an end and now it is time to say goodbye. Goodbye to the man who drove my sister nuts but made her sane all at the same time. Goodbye to the man who could make you laugh at the most inappropriate time. Time to say good bye to the man who helped create my beautiful, loving, sensitive nieces and nephews. Time to say good bye to the man who was a brother to me!
So Jay, as you pass from this life onto the next please know that we love you! You are a presence that is unforgettable and irreplaceable! Your wife and children will be taken care of and we will never stop thinking of you!
Jay was the main provider for my sister and her children. My sister now has to determine how she will take over that duty while also covering the medical and funeral costs that this will incur. We are hoping to take some of that stress off of their plate by humbly asking my friends and family for any monetary support you can give. Every little bit will make a difference and know that we are grateful for any and all help. Please keep my family in your prayers.
