Sarcoidosis Killed my Kidney!!!

Hello, my name is Garret Berge and I need your help! Over the last several years I have been dealing with an Auto-immune disorder called Sarcoidosis. This disorder affects me in several ways. It messes with my lungs. liver and kidneys or as I call it the holy trifecta! All of these organs one needs to live...

Currently, I am dealing with end-stage renal disease, which means my kidneys are shot and no longer work. So to keep me alive I have dialysis 3 times a week currently.

One of the helps I am looking for is someone to be a live donor of a kidney that would be a match for me. So for those of you out there that would like to get tested to find out if you're a match and even if you do not match you can still help someone by giving the gift of life. Please take a moment and fill out the health questionnaire at ---->  Mayo Clinic Living Donor

UPDATE 6-1-2018
Here's the most recent scoop on my life's adventure I'm still waiting on a kidney and am still actively seeking a living donor and am actively on the deceased donor list, I've been on that list for over 2 years now. I'm tired of the process of dialysis 3 days a week but I am thankful that it's there to help keep me alive. I choose to be positive in all the situations thrown at me as it's the best way to stay healthy.

Over the last couple of months, I have been in and out of the hospital with stroke-like symptoms as well as an enlarged left breast. I have more testing coming up including seeing my Sarcoidosis Doctor as well as having a lumbar puncture done. We've ruled out stroke, cancer, and migraine headaches. The Doctors are pretty sure my Sarcoidosis may be advancing to other organs of my body including my skin and my brain. None of which are fun at all. It's been taking a real toll on me as well. That's why I am updating this campaign as well.

You may have noticed the amount need has increased from $10,000 to $30,000 as I'm needing to find alternative methods at helping keep my Sarcoidosis at bay all of which cost $$ and I just need help. Any amount you can give would be great. Also if you could share my story I would be so thankful.

I have several ways that you can help me:

1: You can donate right here to this campaign and please tell others to do so as well.

2: You can Shop online and earn cash back and also help me raise funds by doing so. All you have to do is signup for a free shopping account at ----> http://www.simplishopping.store/ Then You'll have me there to assist you at earning cash back while you shop online and even at your local stores.

3: If you have computer-related problems I am a Tech Support Specialist at Simpli Now Tech Support and can help you with all your techy needs. Working with both Windows, Mac, Android and iPhone. You can reach me at http://www.simplinow.com/

4: Donate your old technology, smartphones, iPhones, iPads, Tablets, Laptops, Computers, MacBooks, Macs and other computer-related items. I will refurbish these items and use the proceeds to help with this campaign. You can reach me at http://www.simpinow.com/

I have a dream of starting a foundation called Laugh 4 the Cure where we would help people with chronic illnesses raise awareness and support for their conditions and treatment using laughter as medicine. I find laughter to be a key in my personal treatment and want others to have the opportunity to laugh through their struggles. A portion of the money raised is going to pay to get set-up as a non-profit.

Do you know/own a business or company that would be willing to help with this cause? Please have them get in touch with me as all help and support is welcome. I can be contacted via my business website at http://www.simplinow.com/

These funds need to be collected over the next few months in order to help off-set some bills and be able to get much needed medical equipment and alternative treatments regarding my Sarcoidosis.

Obviously, it would mean the world to me to find someone who is a kidney match for me as well as having financial help. I would be eternally grateful to everyone who takes up this cause and wants to help me. Together we can drive down the road to success!

Thanks so much for taking the time to read this and watch the video. I hope this has given you an insight into my life and who I am. Feel free to contact me with questions, thoughts, words of encouragement and the like.

Onward and Upward,

Garret Berge

(What is Sarcoidosis: Following exposure to some still unidentified trigger, a patient’s immune system is “turned on” in a way that creates a particular pattern of inflammation. The inflammation can affect any organ in the body, but the lungs and skin are the most common. If the inflammation is allowed to continue, the end result will be scarring of the tissue. The goal of treatment is to interrupt the inflammation so that a damaging scar does not form. Scar formation is more important in certain organs – such as the lungs, eyes, heart and brain/brain coverings/nerves – disease involving these organs would be treated with anti-inflammatory medications. Joint and muscle discomfort would also be addressed with anti-inflammatory medications. Skin involvement is more unsightly than dangerous but also can be treated – many times, very effectively by injecting medication directly into the skin lesion. Some sarcoid patients may have difficulty with calcium metabolism which, for the most part, can be managed with diet changes.)
