In this very moment, young Venezuelans are being tortured
in prison cells for voicing their desire for freedom. We need your help
to give them a voice and tell their story by making the film "Simón".
"Simón" is a feature film inspired by true events
that tells the story of Simón, a young Venezuelan student leader who protested in the streets of Venezuela, was captured and tortured, and then fled to Miami (USA) to seek political asylum.
Like Simón, over 5 million Venezuelans have fled
the country in the past years due to the devastating humanitarian crisis
currently happening in the country, which include shortages of food, medicine, electricity, and an inflation of over 1,000,000%. Estimates show there will be more Venezuelan refugees than Syrian refugees in 2020.
This movie will show the world what is going on in Venezuela, raise awareness, generate empathy, and incentivize action to achieve solutions
. Please help us with a contribution to make this film a reality.
The film will be made by us, two Venezuelan filmmakers
; Diego Vicentini (Writer/Director) & Marcel Rasquin (Producer).
We thank you for your contribution and for sharing this with others!
