Simon's Semester at Columbia Uni

I am excited to have been accepted to spend a semester at Columbia University in the Fall of 2018 as part of my current Master's programme at Copenhagen Business School. Clearly this is a once in a lifetime opportunity; however, as I have to finance the entire tuition fee of 150,000 DKK (approximately 24,000$) myself, I am asking for donations since this does not even include the cost of airfare, rent, books and other living expenses.
 
I am 24 years old with a passion for business and, more specifically, strategy and performance management. Having successfully completed a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Service Management, I am currently studying a Master's Degree in Strategy, Organisation & Leadership - from which I will graduate in the Summer of 2019. 

As an independent individual with a thirst for constant learning and development, I have always worked alongside my studies and I have spent the last 4 years working within the field of performance management as a Student Assistant within Maersk. I am confident that, once I've submitted my thesis next year, I will pursue a career within performance management and I am hopeful that my academic background coupled with my professional experience will enable me to do so. The semester at Columbia University will undoubtedly provide me with further valuable learnings at one of the most prestigious business schools in the world where I hope to study the following courses: 

- Organisational Strategy and Learning
- Leading Alignment and Agility
- Developing and Implementing New Ideas
- Delivering the Strategic Message
