Simon Family Home Destroyed to Fire

Emmauel and Francis Simon, long time residents of the Baker community, that reside on Jack Stokes Road, have lost everything to a house fire.  Around 2pm, on Thursday, August 31, 2017, Francis Simon woke up to find her home, that she shares with her husband, Emmanuel Simon, engulfed in flames.  She was able to escape out of her back door without injury, but unfortunately, the home suffered extensive damage, before the Baker, Holt, Harold and Blackman fire departments responded to the scene.  The home, having built mostly themselves, was enjoyed for more than 60 years.  The home was not insured and the cost of rebuilding their lives, as an elderly couple in their late 70's/early 80's, is something they need assistance with.  At this time, their Daughter-in-Law and my sweet friend, Kelly Simon, has provided me with all the details she knows at this point.  They are not sure where to begin.  Thank goodness no one was hurt, but they have lost everything they have worked so hard for!  Please help with whatever you can afford to give. It will be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
