Simba’s emergency jaw surgery

Hi everyone,

I have started this as a last resort to gather funds to help my sisters cat Simba.

My sister is 21 years old and is the full time carer of our two cousins 15 & 11 years old. Simba was purchased for the girls as a support animal to help them get through a tough time in their life.

Unfortunately, on Saturday night, he was struck by a car and suffered severe facial/head injuries.

He was rushed to ARH in west Gosford where he spent the past two days receiving the care they were able to give, this cost us $4,500, before being told there was nothing else they are able to do and to transport him to ARH Homebush for a CT scan and major surgery on his face.

He has a high possibility of brain damage, a broken jaw & multiple fractures in his cheek bones and eye sockets.

We have had to leave a $4000 deposit for them to start the CT scan which alone is $5000, but they will not start the surgery until the remaining $11,000 is paid.

To some people this is just another cat, but to this family this cat is such a huge emotional support and they’re struggling already without him being home.
