I had the most amazing opportunity to travel to Ghana, West Africa last summer to teach in schools for the deaf. I fell in love with those children, and decided I really want to go back. I was lucky enough to get picked to go as a co-leader, so the organization is paying for half of my trip, which means that I need to raise $1900. I have finished a fundraiser with the ASL Club at UVU, and paid $200 off of my trip, but I am in need of $1700 more!
While in Ghana I will teach children who are less fortunate. I will teach some of them a language so they can communicate. Others, I will teach in a language they understand, Sign Language.
I want to make a difference in this world, I want to be the change. Change starts with all of us. It starts now.
