<div>Each year, Sigma Phi Epsilon at Truman State University hosts a week-long charity competition where campus nominees compete to be crowned the "SigEp Golden Heart."

<div>This year, we aim to reach our goal of raising $10000 for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) in honor of beloved SigEp brother Nate Aldrich who took his life in December 2021. Nate embodied every quality of a great man and created an inspirational legacy that we hope to continue by gaining support for this cause. Established in 1987, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) is a voluntary health organization that gives those affected by suicide a nationwide community empowered by research, education and advocacy, working to combat the third leading cause of death among young people aged 15 to 24.

<div>We ask that you consider assisting us in reaching our $10000 goal for this event. In addition to the money donated to the AFSP, a portion of the money raised will go towards a scholarship honoring Nate that will be awarded to a Truman State student that embodies the principles he held close to his heart.
