Help Seize the Seizure Study Funds

Donation protected
Hello, I'm Ian the 20-year-old only son of a divorced and single dad, since about 3 or 4 years old it's just been him and I. We've had our rough times but things got rougher around 10 years-of-age when I had my first of what was to be many seizures. I was on a flying unattended down to Texas to visit Mom, on the final flight from Dallas to San Antonio I was, understandably, feeling tired so I took I nap. Or so I thought... I thought when I woke up from my 'nap' I'd wake to the sight of a flight attendant coming to fetch me to bring me to Mom instead, I woke up dazed and confused in an ambulance, and that's about all I remember from that day. Turns out that was the first-of-many seizures I was to have over the course of the past decade. Thankfully mine have been controlled pretty effectively by medication unless I have to fly somewhere in-which case I will have a seizure either on the flight, at the destination, or arriving home without fail regardless of when I last took my medication. Recently Dad and I have had to move into my Grandma's, his Mom, house to take care of her in her old age and because of it, money, along with patience, is spread thin. Since we moved in I've been averaging a seizure every 6-8 months for the past 3 years and have been admitted to the hospital for most of them, and in the state of Kansas if you've had a seizure within the past 6 months you're legally not allowed to drive and the same goes most other states. The picture above is what I normally look like but below is what I looked like after a recent seizure at work. Not a pretty sight, I know and that particular vist cost $3,200 after Insurence and a few days ago, September 27th to-be-exact, I had another seizure leaving the Theater after watching a special screening of The Transformers: The Movie and that visit will probably also cost around the same amount if not more. Yet there is a solution to this disorder or at least a way to find a solution but it's costly both in time and money; I can undergo a sleep study where they hook me up to an EEG or similar brain reading machine and slowly start taking me off my medication until I have a seizure during which the brain reading will, hopefully, reveal a solution as to stopping these completely. I'm asking for much-needed help, I'm a grocery store cashier going through college making nowhere near enough money to pay these medical bills on my own, Dad helps where he can but he too has his own medical bills along with normal bills such as house utilities and various insurances. Any and all donations made will be going directly towards funding the sleep study and if we reach the goal or raise more than what's needed the remainder will go towards paying other seizure-related hospital bills. Thank you for any and all support you can offer even if it's just a dollar or share on social media!
