GIVE- Volunteer Abroad in Thailand

As you may know, this Gofundme has been going on for over a month now. During this month, people have been so supportive on my journey to raise money to Volunteer in Thailand this summer. This started as a simple idea and now turned into something I am very passionate about. However, I was not aware of a 30 day deadline GoFund me hold, to verify your personal information with them. I was not given any warning about this possibility until I was struck with 34 emails saying that everyone was refunded their donation money. I'm really grateful the money ended up back in everyone's kind hands. You all helped me raise $1,300 before it all dispersed and I am left with $0. I am still amazed, but deeply saddened I have to start from the beginning after all the progress we made. This link is still active, and is now completely secure. I am raising money to volunteer abroad in Thailand to impact the world and travel with a purpose. The funds raised will help pay for my trip there, where all of the money raised goes to the sustainable agriculture and reforestation projects which help to conserve the natural environment that local people and wildlife rely on to survive.
While volunteering there I will also be...
- teaching English to primary and middle school students to help grow their educational opportunities for the future.
-helping primary students access nutritious organic food year round
- providing funding for elephant veterinary care, ethical mahout training programs, and reforestation initiatives throughout Thailand.
I feel that this would be an amazing opportunity to expand my knowledge of the world by diving into another culture and helping their community as best as I can. America one of the most wealthy places in the world, where our resources should be used for good, by helping people in places that are not so wealthy. Not only will my volunteer work benefit them, but they will benefit me as well. Normally, I would be vacation to a place like Thailand, but I feel as though volunteering there will be much more rewarding. I was first exposed to how sustainable environments can help improve our world at Nottingham High school next to Trenton, NJ. I excelled in 4 levels of engineering and design taught by John Russo. I have continued this passion at the college level where I am now looking to expand my skills abroad. Please help assist my travel costs. Donating anything you can will mean the world to me!
