Our Sister's Family Needs Your Help

Dear friends and anyone else that this message may be reaching. Two siblings here, asking for your help.

Our older sister, Courtney and her family have recently encountered some unexpected news regarding their living situation. The house that they planned on raising their family in, is suddenly being sold. For the past four years, Courtney and her husband Kali, have been supporting their family on a single household income. Courtney is a Special Education teacher with Portland Public Schools, and her husband, Kali is a stay at home father for their two, pre-kindergarten aged girls.

Courtney was the classic, smarter, funnier, older sister that Carson and I deeply admired. In 1999, she took over a much greater role in both of our lives when our mom passed away from cancer. I was 16 years old and my sister took me in and gave me a home, love, and guidance even though I was an angsty teen and she was barely an adult herself. I am forever grateful. Both Cason and I want to step up now to come her her aid as she has done for us over the years.

She would never ask for help herself because she has always made it work. But here is the thing - the rental market here in Portland, OR is tight and overpriced. They do not have the money for move in costs of a new rental. Also their family car hit the dust the same time as the news of their losing the house. Carson and I are asking for your help to get them on their feet as they have the next 30 days to come up with the money to rent their next home and hopefully find a decent car that will fit their family of five. Nothing fancy about these guys. They are just full of love and need a place to live. My sister and her family would be so thankful for any donation, big or small.
