Sia Stable Eagle Population Support

Donation protected
Our initial goal for this campaign is $40,000. With your support we would like to raise a total of $100,000. The North Florida Wildlife Center is the fiscal sponsor. All donations by December 31 will be tax deductible.  This will begin the process of supporting these great eagles.

Sia is a small center doing large work for the world of raptor populations through progressive cultural conservation. Started over 40 years ago - Sia has released more native eagles from injured parents back into the wild than anyone in history.

Stable Eagle populations: Increasing Eagle numbers creates ecosystem resiliency and softens the effects of climate change. All feathers are naturally molted each year here at Sia, the only tribal feather repository in the United States and are distributed to any tribal member for their traditional ceremonial needs. This directly supports indigenous freedom of religion in under-supported communities, leading to  more cultural and individual health.

Balancing the effects of COVID-19: We normally have a lot of school groups and seniors visiting from around the world to help this supportive message to get out. We rely on small donations and community support. We have over 100 raptors living at Sia who need care and food. One of the ways to support Sia is to give to our campaign to locate rare and endangered raptors, bring them through quarantine and give them a home for life where they can breed, raise young and experience parenting offspring, with some being released back into the wild. It also supports Indigenous freedom of religion in our country. You can give here thru GoFundMe or go to our website: www.Comancheeagle.org.

$20,000 of what we raise in this campaign will be  matched by Dr. Bronner's. Your gift will be doubled!

First $20,000 - we can bring in a young unrelated pair of Booted eagles (Hieraaetus pennatus). They are one of the smallest eagles in the world! They would be the first pair of their kind in the Western Hemisphere. These funds go for permits, transportation, quarantine, food and enclosures to safely relocate them.

Second $20,000 - we can bring in a pair of Steller's Sea eagles (Haliaeetus pelagic), One of the largest eagles in the world! They would be among very few pairs in the Western Hemisphere.

If we can raise another $60,000 we can bring in 4 Harpy eagles (Harpia harpyja)
Again one of the largest eagles in the world! It would be the first time this eagle has been brought into this country since the late 1980’s. Through this campaign you support the eagles, the wild populations and the Indigenous community’s spiritual needs with a conservation message. Please help us support these neighbors as friends and give back now! Udah! Thank you!

Our mission is Preservation through cultural understanding of the Eagle in History, Science and Spirit. Sia's artificial insemination of rare and endangered raptors thru injured stock allows great genetics to go back into the wild and creates unbelievable educational moments to live and experience forever.

This fundraiser ends on February 14, 2021.
