Si Se Puede! Let's Help Our Coach!

One of our volunteer soccer coaches was detained by ICE yesterday morning as he left his home to go to work. The officers stopped him to ask if he knew another family that lived nearby, but coach said he did not. They then asked him for his identification and coach gave them his consular ID, the officers proceeded to detain him. 

Coach is still detained, and awaiting a trial to determine if he will be permitted to remain with his family or forced to leave. We are collecting funds to help his wife cover legal expenses and living costs for their two young children until the trial occurs, as Coach was the sole provider for his family.

Uno de nuestros entrenadores voluntarios fue detenido por ICE ayer. Estaban buscando a otra familia, pero cuando nuestro coach nego conocerlos le preguntaron a el por su indentificacion.  Despues de mostrar su matricula consular, los oficiales se lo llevaron. Nuestro entrenador seguira detenido hasta su juicio. Estamos collectando fondos para ayudar a su familia con los gastos del abogado y de vivienda para su esposa y dos hijos hasta que pase el juicio.
