SHS Swim Team Equipment Fundraiser

Hello all! The Stroudsburg HS Swim Team is trying to raise money in order to purchase one, maybe two, power towers for use by our swimmers in our day-to-day workouts. A Power Tower is a versatile tool that can be used to help build both pure power for sprinters and power endurance for distance swimmers. It is, essentially, a bucket that is filled with varying amounts of water to be used as resistance. The bucket is attached to a rope that is run through a pulley system; the swimmer pulls against the resistance to become stronger in the water.

The coaches believe that this piece of equipment is a crucial component in helping our swimmers become more successful at a local, state and national level.

The Athletic Department has already purchased equipment that our team needs, however this particular piece of equipment is outside of their funding arena. We will also be asking the Varsity "S" Association, our booster club, for assistance in funding this purchase as well. If we are able to raise enough money for one tower, but not two, the remaining funds will be used to purchase other equipment for the athletes.
