<div>Hello my name is Shane, and I currently reside in Shrewsbury. Here is ABIT about myself and why I started the group back in April 2023. I lost my first born, Ben, on Mother's day 2012. He was 28. He'd had a heart &amp; lung transplant at 23yeard old. Then after 5 years sadly, his new organs were rejected. Then on April 3rd 2022. 10 years later, I lost my 2nd son, Toby. He was a week into his 31st birthday. He'd been to the theatre with his younger brother and walking home he lost his footing and fell in the river and drowned. They both had everything to live for and loved life.

<div>I decided to start this group as waiting for a counselling, which was 12 months at least, when I needed something there and then. Felt so alone and empty. No one could understand how I was feeling. I thought I'd start the group to help and support others who feel how I do. With empathy and understanding. Since starting on what would of been Ben's 40th birthday, I have had the privilege of meeting approximately 500+ people who share their experiences too. The group is expanding month on month and into other areas. Friendships are made and we support each other!
