Tipi for Medicine Hill

Donation protected
Our family here at The Shire recently received news over the holidays that we were to find a new home. The original builder/owner and his wife plan to move back in. This news has come as a surprise to us and has also been  challenging as we greatly love our home and healing center here at The Shire. The Shire has not only been our family home, but also a gathering place for community events, workshops, healing & meditation. It is our wish to continue hosting events for our community and are seeking to raise the funds for a tipi to put up at our new abode which we are calling Medicine Hill. The house is quite a bit smaller so, we will need a separate space in which to host healing gatherings for the community in the capacity that we have been here. There is quite a bit of private land which surrounds the house, however, and there is a perfect spot for a yurt or tipi. My ancestry is Sioux, Cherokee and Irish and, as we have been hosting many events in the indigenous Native American traditions, the look and feel of the tipi really resonated with us. The tipi's we have found are made in the Three Sisters Wilderness Area by a company that has been making them since 1970 as authentically as possible. We like that the the tipi's are made semi-locally and the company which makes them seems to be a kind and conscious company which donates some of their sales to nature conservacy and ecological defense organizations. Our goal of $3,000 will help us purchase a new tipi and assist with some of our moving costs. We look forward to hosting many more amazing, healing and transformative gatherings for our community!!!
Many Blessings to All from All of Us here at The Shire!!!
