My name is Kayla Wilson. In November 2017, my daughter Avery(7) ended up OU Children’s Hospital at OU for a little over three weeks. They gave her an EVD drain. They did several CT scans and MRI’s and found that she had hemorrhaged in her brain and there was too much blood to tell what was in there. They sent us home to wait for the blood to reabsorb. We waited until February when they told us that my daughter had a stage 4 high grade glioma brain tumor with the mutation HK327. This mutation causes the tumor to grow little fingers and spread aggressively It is also vascular which means it is wrapped around all the important vessels in her brain. In mid February 2018 we underwent brain surgery to remove what they could of the tumor. They were not able to remove much as it was wrapped around the vessels and they did not want her bleeding out. We then went through 30 rounds of radiation and 42 rounds of chemo in six weeks. Our plan was to do experimental therapy however, the studies were closed because the high grade gliomas were not responding well enough to keep the studies open. We then started Plan B, which is eight cycles of strong chemo taken orally. Five days on five weeks off.Recently we have had a platelet transfusion and a blood transfusion and we just finished our third cycle of chemo, and we will be taking her off of chemo August 24, 2018. The doctors told us that the chemo is not going to shrink this tumor the only thing it’s going to do is to keep her stable and to keep the tumor from getting any bigger. With lots of prayer and observation, we are going to do an all natural route with essential oil‘s, detoxing, and dieting to help keep her feeling better. And we are praying that by some miracle this tumor decides to disappear. The prognosis on this kind of brain tumor is,from the Time the tumor starts growing until the second year, only 10% survive past that Mar Time the tumor starts growing until the second year, only 10% have survived. We are reaching out because recently, I had to quit my job to stay home full time with her. Insurance does not cover natural medicines. We are grateful of your support. Please keep Avery in your prayers.
