Show Your Love For Dike Going Home

Dike Anyanwu Memorial Fund

Dike was a loving husband, father, brother, son, in-law, cousin, nephew, relative, and friend who passed away February 5, 2018. He spent his last evening on earth in the company of his wife and child in the hospital watching his favorite football team, the Philadelphia Eagles win the Super Bowl.

More than 12 years ago in his early thirties, Dike suffered an AVM brain bleed which changed his and his family’s life forever. Dike had to leave the work force at age 33 to look after his health. He lived up to his name “Dike”, meaning a hero and warrior in his native language, by not letting his health challenges define him. Dike always lived life to the fullest and endeared himself to others with that genuine smile and ability to make each person feel special. He always sought to find the best in others and shared the best of himself while accepting each person or situation as he saw it. His favorite colloquial saying, “Na condition wey make crayfish bend!” encompassed his philosophy on life and his survival spirit.

Dike’s passing has left a huge hole in many hearts.....but none as deeply as his wife and daughter.....

The family would like to express their gratitude to everyone for their thoughts and prayers. For those who have been asking or wanting to show their love and support, we suggest a memorial donation in lieu of flowers. It would be used to cover some of the funeral costs; start an education fund for his lovely daughter; and ease their journey of life. His prolonged illness and departure means that his wife and daughter need our support more than ever.

We really appreciate any donations given. May God bless you and yours.
